We had three confirmed on April 20, 2008 at Effie Fredheim Lutheran Church!

      Confirmation classes meet each Wednesday after school (about 3:30 p.m.) for an hour.  Seventh and eighth graders will meet with Pastor Ryan to go over the catechism, study the Bible and talk about worship.

Pastor Ryan would like to thank all the youth for their hard work these past two years.  As the kids closed out the 2007 year, they shared some powerful papers with him.  Here are some snippets from their papers on "Faith."

      -"I think that knowing about His awesome love and ability to forgive inspires us to love and forgive others."
 

         -"To me, Jesus means God to me."

      -"My faith has helped me through many hard times, and it means more to me than the things I have."

     -"God is who God is and God is there for me when I need God the most.  Jesus is like my own personal journal that will never spill my secrets."
 
      -"I got my faith from my mother and grandmother. God's unconditional love for me is the most important thing in my life."
 
      -"What does Jesus mean to me?  He loves, forgives, heals and cares without end.  That's what he means to me.  He means love!"
